Report: Joe Biden Aides Discover More Classified Documents at Separate Location

Fake president Joe Biden's aides have discovered more classified documents in his possession at a different location, according to a report from NBC News.
The report does not say where or when the new documents were discovered, but it is clear the White House is attempting to clean up Biden's records ahead of a possible run for reelection in 2024.
The newly discovered documents are from a location separate from the private office connected to a University of Pennsylvania think tank that Biden had in Washington, DC, where the first batch of classified information was discovered.
Biden claimed Tuesday he was "surprised" that classified documents were found in his possession, repeating he was ignorant of their contents.
"I was briefed about this discovery, and surprised to learn that there are any government records that were taken there to that office," Biden said, reacting for the first time to the news during a press event in Mexico City.
"I don't know what's in the documents," he continued. "My lawyers have not suggested I not ask what documents they were."
Biden also revealed Tuesday there were "boxes" of documents that were turned over to the archives.
The White House has stonewalled any additional information about the documents that were first discovered just days before the 2022 midterm elections.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to even confirm whether Biden's aides were searching his other properties to see if they contained classified documents.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said President Joe Biden should be impeached for mishandling classified documents reportedly related to Ukraine and Iran dated between 2013 and 2016.
Greene explained the stark difference in Biden's mishandling of documents compared to the alleged claim that former President Donald Trump safely stored documents at Mar-a-Lago.
"This is a very serious situation. Vice presidents cannot declassify documents. And the fact that Joe Biden is in possession of classified documents when he was vice president, signals we need to have a serious investigation into this," Greene told C-Span.
"There is a true two tier justice system stemming from the department of justice in the way President Trump has been treated - who is allowed to classify and declassify documents. Presidents can do that," she said.
"I'll echo again, impeach Biden," she added.
On Monday, news broke Biden had stashed at least ten classified documents at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington.
The trove of sensitive documents at the University of Pennsylvania's "think tank" raises national security concerns. Anonymous Chinese donations have reportedly been given to UPenn.
"Why were classified documents stored at Biden's Chinese-funded think tank? The Justice Department must appoint a special counsel to investigate," Taylor Budowich, head of MAGA Inc., told Breitbart News.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the third highest-ranking House Republican, asked why the FBI had not raided the University of Pennsylvania in relation to its raid of Trump's Mar-a-Lago.
"Where is the FBI raid on the Joe Biden crime family after the revelations that he stole classified materials while serving as Vice President and stored these documents at Biden's "think tank" that has received over $50 million in Chinese gifts?" she told Breitbart News.
"The American people do not trust Joe Biden's FBI and Department of Justice who have consistently tipped the scale of justice to fulfill their political ambitions and attack their political opponents. Joe Biden and his corrupt DOJ must be held accountable."
In September, Biden slammed Trump on 60 Minutes as "irresponsible" for allegedly keeping classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
"How could that possibly happen?" Biden responded in the interview about Trump's documents at Mar-a-Lago. "How anyone could be that irresponsible?"
"And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?" Biden added.
CNN reported Tuesday Biden's stashed documents contain intelligence materials related to Iran, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. Sensitive documents found in the trove related to Ukraine raise additional concerns. The Biden family has had many business dealings in Ukraine.
According to Breitbart News's senior contributor, Peter Schweizer, Hunter Biden earned great sums of money from Ukraine, for which he "offered no real work."

Merrick Garland Named Special Counsel to Investigate Trump, Not Biden, Two Weeks After Biden Classified Docs Discovered

Attorney General Merrick Garland named a special counsel to investigate former President Donald Trump, not President Joe Biden, two weeks after Biden's classified briefings and documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center.
On November 18, Garland named former federal prosecutor Jack Smith special counsel for two probes by the Department of Justice of Trump. About two weeks prior, on November 2, Biden's classified documents were reportedly unearthed at Biden's so-called "think tank", the Penn Biden Center, by the president's attorney.
The timeline suggests Garland appointed a special counsel to investigate Biden's 2024 presidential political opponent for allegedly mishandling classified documents while potentially knowing Biden had allegedly committed the same violation.
Garland could have known about Biden's mishandling of documents just six days before the midterm elections. Critics say Garland's decision to not disclose to revelations before January was a political calculation to benefit Democrats in the midterms.
Biden has claimed he did not know classified documents were stashed at the Penn Biden Center, but Mike Davis, founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project, called Biden's claim "nonsense."
"Biden moved these stolen classified records twice: Before January 20, 2017 (left White House) b. After moving into new office in February 2018," he tweeted. "Biden had these stolen classified records in his personal files. Garland must appoint a Special Counsel."
Biden's stark opinion on the mishandling of classified documents is not in dispute. In September, Biden appeared on "60 Minutes" and slammed Trump as "irresponsible" for allegedly storing classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
"How that could possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible," the president said. "And it just - totally irresponsible."
"And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?" Biden added.
Biden's condemnation of Trump has caused some critics to point out that then-Vice president Biden did not have the authority to declassify documents, while Trump, as president, had the authority to do so.
"Vice presidents cannot declassify documents. And the fact that Joe Biden is in possession of classified documents when he was vice president, signals we need to have a serious investigation into this," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told C-SPAN.

Experts Question Why Biden And Trump Treated Differently In Classified Document Cases

As Republican lawmakers such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) express concern that President Joe Biden's retention of classified materials from his vice presidency may be "[swept] under the rug", legal experts told The Epoch Times why Biden and former President Donald Trump appear to have been treated very differently in two strikingly parallel cases.
FBI agents executed a search warrant on Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, in August 2022. The warrant said there was probable cause to believe there were "additional documents that contain classified NDI [national defense information]" or "presidential records subject to record retention requirements" at Mar-a-Lago.
By contrast, neither the Penn Biden Center nor any other address associated with Biden has been raided after classified materials were reportedly found at the center's Washington office, which is located in a nondescript building about a mile from the White House.
"What's the difference in what President Trump did versus what we now know President Biden did?" asked House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), as reported by CBS.
Biden's attorneys have said that the materials were identified on Nov. 2, just days before an underwhelming midterm election performance by Republicans. Yet, the public wasn't told of the existence of those materials until Jan. 9, two months after those elections took place.
That delay is indicative of "a political cover-up", says Mike Davis, former chief counsel for nominations to then-Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and the founder of the Article III Project. He sees it as part of a pattern under the Biden administration.
"There's a clear political double standard at the Biden Justice Department, which has been politicized and weaponized against Republicans", Davis told The Epoch Times on Jan. 10. An expert on administrative law had a similar perspective.
"The fact that this has happened really creates a rule of law: if you're a Republican, you have to meet certain exacting standards when it comes to records, and if you're a Democrat, you don't," according to the expert, who requested anonymity because company policy doesn't allow employees to speak to the media.
"A Republican president must operate in a fishbowl. If you're a Republican president, the presumption is you have to preserve everything. And you just have to be extra careful. If you're a Democrat, rest assured, you're going to have different procedures applied."
"Under a more consistent system", he added, "the standard set by Trump's case would also have applied to Biden's case."
"The Justice Department shouldn't have said, "Let's negotiate. You guys review and tell us what you find."
The Justice Department should have immediately had the FBI raid the offices. Why? How do we know, without documenting and creating an inventory, whether the documents were classified or top secret?"
Davis contrasted the case of Trump's records with the developing story of Biden's handling of classified materials.
"President Trump had the absolute constitutional and statutory power under the Presidential Records Act to declassify and take presidential records when he left office. Former Vice President Joe Biden absolutely did not," he said.
Citing an appeals court decision, an analysis of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant from the Congressional Research Service suggested that Trump's broad authority to declassify information could be hemmed in if he failed to "follow established procedures."
"It's the process that's the punishment. In other words, the bureaucrats make the rules, whether or not they're in law or not. And if you violate those rules, there are consequences," the anonymous legal expert said.
For Davis, the more recent revelations about Biden's vice presidential materials raise key questions pertinent to established procedures and also United States national security–questions he believes Republicans in the House must pursue through their oversight authority on a range of committees.
"Did Hunter Biden have access to this office? Did James Biden have access to this office? What were these classified documents? Have they done an intel assessment? Are they planning to do an FBI raid? Are they planning to question Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Joe Biden [and] anyone else who [may have] had access to that office?" he asked.
Archives Had "No Power" in Trump Case: Expert
The legal expert said the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) didn't have the authority to refer the Trump records case to the Department of Justice, as occurred prior to the Mar-a-Lago raid.
While Title 44 does specify that NARA can refer cases involving federal agency records to the Department of Justice, there's no parallel language in that title pertaining to presidential records.
"There is no power for the archivist in those cases to make referrals to the Justice Department," the expert said.
In the expert's opinion, the former president's legal team should have made a challenge on that basis.
"Trump's lawyers were asleep at the wheel", the expert said, contrasting those lawyers with Biden's "top-quality" legal representation.
CBS has reported that Attorney General Merrick Garland assigned the U.S. attorney in Chicago, John R. Lausch Jr., to investigate why the Penn Biden Center came to hold classified material.
